Saint Eustachius was a Roman soldier and general who converted to Christianity after having a powerful vision in the woods while on a hunt. He is said to have seen a crucifix lodged between a set of antlers.
Once converted Saint Eustachius faced a series of devastating setbacks including the loss of his fortune, death of friends and family and the loss of his sons.
Though all of his struggles he never lost his faith.
His feast day is September 20th. He is the patron saint against fire, difficult situations, and hunters.
