If you are of Ukranian or Russian ancestry, you may have a special appreciation for the intercession of St. Olga with a Saint Olga Cross necklace.
She has a fascinating sinner-turned-saint story. Known as a former pagan who took brutal revenge on hundreds of political enemies who assassinated her husband, she was later baptized at an old age, which eventually converted her entire region of Kiev to Christianity. Her unlikely and remarkable transformation has earned her an esteemed place in Eastern Orthodox and Roman Catholic hagiography.
St. Olga, patroness of widows and converts, has a feast day of July 11.
