If you wear a Saint Honorius medal necklace as a devotional, what does it represent? Saint Honorius of Amiens was drawn to the religious life at a very young age and became Bishop of Amiens at the reluctance of many.
He is displayed with loaves of bread and a baker's peel because legend holds that his nanny rudely commented that Honorius was never going to become a bishop, that the baker's peel she was holding had more chance of becoming a bishop than he. It is said that immediately after she said this the peel turned into a tree.
Due to his legend he is known as the patron saint of bakers. His feast day is May 16th.
