I have sought thee, I have found
Thee, Lamb of mercy, Holy Guest,
Thy eternal love has bound Thee,
captive in a mortal breast.
Oh! That I have sooner tasted joys
I never knew before;
Oh! had I the youth I wasted,
back again to live it over.
