Hail Holy Queen
Hail Holy Queen,
Mother of Mercy; hail,
our life, our sweetness
and our hope. To thee
do we cry, poor banished
children of Eve;
To thee do we send up
our sighs, mourning
and weeping in this
vale of tears. Turn
then, most gracious
advocate, thine eyes of
mercy toward us, and
after this our exile show
unto us the blessed fruit of
thy womb, Jesus.
O clement, O loving,
O sweet Virgin Mary.

Blessed Virgin Mary
Universal Patron Saint and Queen of All Saints
The mother of the Son of God was chosen as a young virgin of Nazareth, who regarded herself the least worthy to receive such and honor. Filled with courage and faith. Mary replied to the Angel Gabriel's announcement of her role in the arrival of the Messiah by saying, "I am the maid-servant of the Lord. Let it be done to me as you say" (Luke 1, 38).
From the beginning of all eternity, God wished that Mary would be the instrument by which His Son would come into the world. From the first moment of her conception, Mary was sanctified by the Holy Spirit, and favored by God during her life because of her piety. As the Mother of our Lord and Savior, Mary is considered the patron of mothers, but as Mary is also considered the spiritual mother of all, she is invoked to meed every need. No other person was so loved by Jesus then His own beloved mother.
From teh earliest times in the Church, it had been believed that upon mary's death, around the year 48, she was taken baody and soul into Heaven. God would not allow the body of the Mother of His Son, who had never committed the least sin, to remain in the earth. The greatest of all saints, Mary is a powerful intercessor on our behalf, as Jesus can refuse her nothing.
