These are fitted dresses tailored to an individual size chart which may differ from the regular sizes of dresses normally worn. If you take her measurements using our Size Advice tab and compare with the size chart on the Size Chart tab for this dress you won't go wrong.

The length of the dress is measured from the top of the garment to the bottom of the garment. (Top of the shoulder to bottom of the dress)
Our single most important piece of advice for anyone shopping for a First Communion Dress is to take the child’s measurements. With three simple measurements for Bust, Waist, and Length you’ll be able to select the correct size without worry. Always compare the child’s measurements to the dress size chart as it is common for each dress to have unique measurements.
Please don’t assume that because your child wears a size 8 in clothing that she will automatically be a size 8 in her communion dress. ALWAYS reference the size chart as some dresses run small and others are cut with generous proportions. The size chart measurements provided are for the finished garment. When measuring, please use a sewing or soft tape measure, not a metal retractable tape measure.
To measure the BUST take a tape measure and wrap it around the entire body where the child’s chest is, just under the armpits at the widest section of the chest. Hold the tape measure loosely and write down the measurement.
To measure the WAIST take the tape measure and wrap it around the entire body where the child’s mid-section is, just above the belly button. Hold the tape measure loosely and write down the measurement.
The length of a dress is measured from the shoulder to the end of the hemline. To measure where the hemline will fall on your child take the tape measure and start at the top of the shoulder. Run the tape measure down to end of the given size chart measurement. This will provide you with a guide for where the hem of the dress will fall on your child.
First Communion Dresses come in a variety of lengths including knee length, tea length (between the knee and ankle) and floor length. Your child’s height will determine where the hemline actually falls so knowing the length of the dress is important.
Keep in mind that it may be necessary to hem the Communion Dress if you think it is too long. NOTE: if the hem of the dress has beading or embroidery, shortening the dress may not be possible.

Pictures don't do this dress justice. My daughter is going to look like an angel when she receives her First Communion in May. This dress is exactly what I was looking for. It is modest, has the right amount of satin I was looking for, I love the organza and the details on it and how it lays slightly fluffed out but not overly. It's perfect and beautiful. It arrived quickly and undamaged. I was worried about the measurements but it fits her just fine. She's still young and still has a little tummy but this dress allows for more room in the tummy area. I am very happy with this purchase, it was worth every penny!

A simple elegant dress. Not heavy, flows and twirls easily, lovely shape without being bulky. The flower detail is very pretty and can easily be paired with many accessory options. There is no detail on the back. Our daughter is tall and slim so we needed the size 8 for the length which leaves the bodice a little large and may need pinned for a proper fit. Customer service was absolutely fantastic - helpful, polite, informative and so pleasant.

The dress fit my granddaughter perfectly. It was a beautiful dress with excellent quality. We took her measurements before ordering. She wanted the dress long, but size LONG would have been too long. We ordered tea length, and that was plenty long. All other measurements were true to fit. I can't say enough about the customer service that was provided for me. We were pressed for time and delivery time was crucial. Customer service worked with me to make sure this dress arrived on time by tracking the delivery and any hold up at imports, making sure that the dress arrived on time. Iwas definitelly totally pleased with my experience at the Catholic Faith Store.
